Photographic
	Society of Taiwan

	The
Photographic Society of Taiwan was founded by Mr. Deng Nan-guang in 1963, in
collaboration with photographers across Taiwan. It is committed to promoting
"modern photography" as its purpose and emphasizing Taiwan's
localized "realism". The main purpose of this association is to study the
theory of photography, improve photographic technology, and promote the development
	of photography art.

	The
members of this association are distributed throughout Taiwan, and it is the
largest photographic society in Taiwan. At present, it has 12 activity centers,
divided into the north, central and south three districts. Each region takes
turns to hold social photography activities. An exquisitely printed photography
magazine is issued every month and "Taiwan Photography Annual"each year, shared
	with each member.

	The
regular photography activities, such as monthly Taiwan salon competitions,
bi-monthly free-themed competitions, the "Taiwan photography
exhibition" and the "Taiwan International Salon of Photography"
	have been held so far.
